Thomas S. Perakos & Family
Tony and Olivier Award-winning producer. Philanthropist. A lifelong believer that the performing arts are the foundation of our culture.

Supporting the performing arts is his deepest passion and an honor for philanthropist and Producer Thomas S. Perakos. His love of theatre has spanned more than three decades, with production credits on more than 50 theatrical productions on both sides of the pond. He has earned multiple Tony® and Olivier Awards, including The Band's Visit, Leopoldstadt, the acclaimed revival of Sunset Boulevard and, most recently, the beloved Best Musical, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
His proudest achievements, however, are his philanthropic initiatives. His pioneer gift to the global charity Broadway Cares provides exclusive funding for health care and mental health support to the Broadway community. His alumni leadership gifts include the state-of-the-art Thomas S. Perakos Performing Arts and Community Center and the soon-to-be-completed Perakos Family Cares Health & Wellness Student Center.
While he and the Foundation remain focused on supporting ALL those participating in the performing arts, the Family Foundation also supports innovative programs that promote Wellness, Goodness and Kindness to Others (including animals). For Perakos, giving back is both a privilege and a responsibility, driven by gratitude and a lifelong belief in helping those in need thrive.
“Won't forget, can't regret, what I (we) did for love!”
“The arts don't just entertain us; they sustain us. Supporting them is one of the most meaningful things we can do.”
