Honoring Greek Orthodox Family Legacy
The foundation honors the Perakos family's Greek Orthodox roots with gifts to the parishes that shaped their lives, made in loving memory of Tom's brother Peter and his parents Urania and Steven.
St. George Greek Orthodox Church
The New Britain, Connecticut parish where the Perakos family legacy lives on. A gift in memory of Peter, Urania and Steven Perakos eliminated the loan on the parish property and funded the study for a planned residence for parishioners aged 55 and older.
Animal Rescues
Because all animals deserve to be treated with kindness, love and respect. Tom shares his life with a rescue family of his own, and the foundation supports the organizations doing the work of non-euthanasia rescue and sheltering, healing and rehoming animals.
Broadway Barks and West End Woofs
The shelter-pet adoption charity co-founded by Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore, helping place thousands of animals into loving homes. Mr. Perakos supports both Broadway Barks in New York City and West End Woofs in London.
Mountain Humane
The Wood River Valley's animal shelter and adoption center, supported through the foundation's giving near Mr. Perakos' home in Sun Valley, Idaho.
